When i saw this i instantly liked it, its not very clear whats going on but i like the quick paced speed of it and how it appears to be looking at television in a dark room. this type of thing wouldnt be good for to long but i reckon this effect could work when used for very brief periods of time with in video. it could be used at the end of a really fast build of clips or as the final thing you see.
This is an example of jump cuts that i found when browsing on you tube. its a bit silly but a good example of them. it shows how jump cuts can be used and i think its shows the the effectiveness of jump cuts pretty well.
The above clip is from a great film in my opinion called Breathless. this clip in particular is a good example of how the director used jump cuts in this film. it makes this clip more entertaining and less boring, it always is jumping to conversation and moving forward skipping through time.
This clip is a quick paced fast edit of some one doing graffiti, i dont necessary like the music track but can see that it works for the timing of this piece. the camera switches between normal time lapse as well as quick close ups of the subject and relevant content. the camera movement such as the 'shakes and wobbles' help add to the fast movement.
