i have made my ico file, in the end i used a conversion site and converted a pdf file to the need .ico file
i also made a .hqx as i had trouble attaching the ico to my usb image on a mac, the .hqx is the image you see when you plug the usb in to a mac and the .ico is still written in the autorun document as normal and that will play when being used on a pc.
