I was lucky enough to arrange the use of a digital SLR camera. I was very keen to use one of these as appose to a standard 'point and shoot style' camera for a number of reasons. I could shoot in RAW format so that when changing the colour balance and curves etc there was allot more control in the exposure, brightness and contrast etc. Also the main factor was that I could shoot it using the manual settings. I was able to set the aperture, shutter speed etc myself so that each picture had the same settings and exposure. This would save me a huge amount of time in the editing process and therefore I could spend more time concentrating on more QTVR's and also really thinking about the composition and locations of my shoots. I also used a polarising filter on the camera, from previous experiences I knew the very edges of my picture may be slightly darker or distortd so I allowed my self a large over lap to over come this problem. This will mean allot more edges to layer mask but overall a better image.
